Re: FIFA 2002 with 750Ti on a Windows XP

I don't have this game, but there are fast CPU crash fixes here if that's the problem. You might want to try installing nGlide first and then use Zeus's patch if you don't already have Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015 installed. Hope that helps.

Re: backup old CDroms for use in Emulator

in DOS
Happy new year. :) For mixed-mode discs, try AnyBurn Copy disc to BIN / CUE file . CDRWin was popular for this back in the day and can probably still be used instead. There's a lot of info at The World of CD-i – The World is Interactive! including a CD-i backup guide on the downloads page. The …

Re: GOG Moto Racer 1 graphic glitches

in Windows
Thanks, but before I start messing with the drivers is there any setting in the nvidia control panel that might help? Not that I know of. I'm not even sure if WineD3D will help, but that's the only other thing I can think of to try. By the way, if you are going to play other pre-DX8 games on this …

Re: GOG Moto Racer 1 graphic glitches

in Windows
Oh, yeah that looks different than what the cmd line switch fixes, sorry about that. I'm thinking driver issue because it works with DX9c on my XP machine. I never used a GPU newer than a GeForce 6800 GT or Radeon X800 Pro though. Try 275.33 driver or WineD3D.

Re: GOG Moto Racer 1 graphic glitches

in Windows
I don't have the GOG version, just the original game patched to v3.22 + bonus tracks, but adding the cmd line switch -DoRealLock to the shortcut fixed frontend graphics corruption. Also, adding -CorrectRatioTextures to the cmd line fixes fonts if you need that. It fixes a flashing horizontal line in …

Re: What Can I Do to Get the PC Game Easy Bake Kitchen to Work?

in Windows
Hashimoto-san is cool, but it wasn't on much. The programs were shown somewhat randomly back then. They still show Tom and Jerry and Looney Tunes on Boomerang, but I kind of wish they showed Terrytoons and Tex Avery cartoons, they were funny too. I didn't know there was a Pufnstuf movie. Great …

Re: What Can I Do to Get the PC Game Easy Bake Kitchen to Work?

in Windows
Ah, I could only watch over the air TV as a kid, so I'm not familiar with most of the shows you mentioned. Local channels aired some cool stuff back in the day though, like Hashimoto-san, Tex Avery, etc.. There were some wacky live action shows too like H.R. Pufnstuf and Land of the Lost. That …

Re: What Can I Do to Get the PC Game Easy Bake Kitchen to Work?

in Windows
No worries. Shows like Kimba, Speed Racer and Marine Boy were the anime of my youth. I didn't start watching Dragonball until I was much older. It's hard to keep up with it all these days, but one of my favorite anime movies is Vampire Hunter D. I was into Star Wars action figures. I even sent away …

Hmm, I just has a quick look. Here's what I have installed in that category. This is just from memory, so I might have missed a few. Expendable - launcher runs separate binary Midnight GT - launcher runs separate binary Neverwinter Nights - launcher runs separate binary NFL Blitz - config tool built …

Re: What Can I Do to Get the PC Game Easy Bake Kitchen to Work?

in Windows
Nice. I remember seeing Easy Bake Oven commercials in the 70s while watching Kimba and Speed Racer heh. I figured they were new at the time like a lot of the other toys, but apparently they've been around since the 60s. I've only had one Radeon card. It was okay, but it didn't render graphics in …

Re: What Can I Do to Get the PC Game Easy Bake Kitchen to Work?

in Windows
Well, just keep trying. Hopefully you'll find the rolling pin. You could just keep searching for a complete set. Then keep the one you've already bought for spare parts, or maybe sell it later. The only thing my PS2 does (which I suppose is normal, but still seems odd) is it hums when playing CD-ROM …

Re: What Can I Do to Get the PC Game Easy Bake Kitchen to Work?

in Windows
Ah, the only Nintendo consoles I've had are the NES and Gamecube (I'm more of a Sega fan heh), but F-Zero GX on the Gamecube is one of my favorites. I'm glad that helped you get the game working on at least one of your laptops. Integrated graphics can be hit or miss. Before I installed a graphics …

Re: What Can I Do to Get the PC Game Easy Bake Kitchen to Work?

in Windows
Okay cool. As long as you have ir32_32original.dll on your system, the registry fix should help. Download and extract the attached zip archive and run IndeoFix.reg to add the strings to the registry. Basically you are just registering the codec to enable Windows to play the videos in the game. I had …
