Well whats the point of the mt-32 if it can't work for everything? All the effects that are normally destined for the adlib come put like instruments....in other words it sounds like a marching band collapsing when larry is hijacked in the alley. :oops: Its like that in every other game as well. …

I haven't tried the mt-32 on it yet....but I dont have to anymore now that Soundblaster w/ adlib sound works properly. 😀 The adlib has a certain charm in sierra games..... 😉

I've known these games for a looong time. Yes I do get enjoyment. :happyhappy: Plus this was actually a test run to make sure I can get all the Larry games working in prep for a friend who wants me to help set them all up. I have to make sure they work for me first...that way I can do it as painless …

Yea...but I still managed to finish the game under 25 minutes! 😊 They may be short but I still love the old sierra games.

*ahem* yes....disks...where did I put them? 😊 I'm pro-abandonware so you'll have understand where I got this game from. While I bought many of my sierra games some I could not (like this one....and some have dissapeared due to bad disks)

Its the floppy version. I know its isolated....thats why it makes no sense to happen when I set dosbox to 1000 cycles...it took 5 minutes to get to the door and yet still said "oops!" 😳 Funny this doesn't happen to other sierra games at these dosbox settings...maybe it is corrupt.

Whats the speed of your computer? See, I have tried this game (exact same version) on my older computer awhile back and it was fine. Now on my AMD64 2.4ghz it has these issues. I'm not so sure its a corrupt file. I might try to find an alternate copy of this game to test it out...

Better or not it locks up and thats not good. I'd rather have adlib and be able to play the game correctly. Maybe this is just a dosbox thing?

I remember playing this on my dos computer ages ago and thats how it always was. I found it really frustrating because whenever I quit and restarted back into windows the start sound was enough to knock you off your chair!! :lol: I recommend Exult really. It simply makes it easier to setup and play …

Larry 7 works fine for me in dosbox...the audio tends to skip sometimes when it loads from the cd. Other than that its perfect speed at 34000 cycles. 😎 I didn't try adding frameskip but it might fix the audio skippage.
