From what I see in servers that I'm around since 20 years, running usually up to 6-7 years you often encounter Nidec and Delta fans. I have not seen a single Nidec fan fail, ever: https://www.nidec.com/en/product/search/categ … B101/M111/S100/

The only "amazing" thing about these Celerons was the overclocking capability compared to the price back then. Looking at it from 2024, just get a Pentium 2/3 if you after pure performance. The celeron is of interest if your goal is to play with overclocking for the sake of it, that's about it.

Particularly regarding ESR (equivalent series resistor), some circuits rely on specific values (or close to them) and you have absolutely no idea what your specific circuit design does or requires if it was badly designed. So for this one, try to be as close as possible to the original.

This plastic degradation happens on lots of items after their expected service life...had the same happen on Saitek X52 joysticks and similar items, on Canon cameras and so on. I guess it will at some point affect any "soft touch" plastic.
