Hello, I recently procured a CD of Electronic Popple and am trying to run the game via DOSBox. The problem is that whenever I start install.exe or popple.exe (produced using the Windows installer contained within the CD), the screen just remains black. Does anyone know of a remedy for this?

You must make sure that the drive you have used to mount the image has the lowest letter in the alphabet (closest to c) of all your cd-roms. Eg. if you have a drive D: cd-burner and E: F: G: virtual drives, and you mount to E:, I76 will not run. You can either change the drive letters or burn the …

Apparently, the save problem probably doesn't have any relation because I have already unchecked read-only for the folder and the problem persists. Others have complained about this as well, some of them might not have been DOSBox users. I'm sure the problem has to do with the version of the game …

How about the problem involving the saves refusing to register in Alien Carnage? I'm sure other users were able to solve this problem easily. Using DOSBox 0.65 and D-Fend v2 to run the game, and I am also having the similar save problem in another game.

No, you don't have to get a new version. I had this problem too when I was playing with 0.63. I think you have to restart the game or press some buttons like escape to stop it from doing that. It can be fixed somehow without updating.

Perhaps you have to use a cracked version or crack the game. I have my game already cracked and it seems to work fine, just a bit of slow down in some places but overall the speed is smooth.
