That means 640x480 is the only resolution setting available in Win98. Can‘t do 800x600 or whatever.

I guess you'll have to set the FSB at 100MHz if you want to use the V3 with a tualatin. Not sure the V3 likes 133MHz. Oh and the Abit AB-ST6 won't have problems with any Voodoo AGP card. I checked the voltage on one of the molex connectors. 5.03 and 11.84V. Maybe that‘s the problem? I noticed the low 12V rail before when I tested the PSU but didn’t think much of it because there was only a test harddrive connected.

Why would a Vortex be „too much“ for your CPU? I‘m running one, ran fine even with a 400 CPU. And there sure are A3D games for Win98, try Half Life for example. On the other hand, for DOS you might want an ISA card.

That card is a rebadged Gallant SC-6600 that came also with ESS or Crystal chips. Not much info to be found though but I never had problems with PnP soundcards in DOS so I‘m sure this card will work fine. Try Unisound like Crusher said.
