Yes, the EuroPC FDD is 720 kb only. On another note, I’ve been trying to find an original PSU for my EuroPC. I have a DIY PSU from Mean Well that get’s the job done, but would prefer an original one.

I seem to recall the default joystick IO port address is 201. Maybe the programs you use to test the port do not look at the BLASTER settings? Also some Soundblasters have a Joystick Enable jumper that needs to be closed, but maybe not your PNP version? Changing the joystick port address to 201 did …

The EuroPC lives again! The AEN line between JIM and PVC4 had corroded away. After yet another bodge, it POSTS and boots. I need to find more suitable bodge wire, though. It has got to be the mother of all ugly bodges with the wire I had at hand.

The actual driver should of course be written in Assembly, but is it possible to conceptualize in Basic that when, let’s say, joy up is read in the port, it would trigger the up arrow keypress?
