Playing Curse of Enchantia on Amiga 600 without a harddrive on original floppy. I guess I have a bid of an Eidos fever at the moment.

It is not easy locally. Sometimes I find small things, a cable or a game, things like that. Sometimes iI see office quality xp machines but it is rare. I think many are selling on tradera. I think the Swedish marked dried up years ago, before I even was interested in these things.

Maybe there is just a broken/bad connection on one of the solder joints of a cap. You could test for continuity on the legs of the capacitors. If they are in parallell as I guess many are, the + and - should all connect to each other for instance. You should get a continuos beeping sound when …

I don't think it's dead. Should be fixable. I would double check if all caps are correctly oriented. Also poke around with a multimeter and see that you don't have a short or bad continuity. Correct me if I'm wrong but often caps are sitting in parallell so it would perhaps work (kinda) with only …

Older systems have bugs/limitations in the bios preventing them to see larger disks which is what you are describing. My pentium 1 will not accept even a 2gb disk. Maybe not bought, but I found a cd with Dark Forces (1) at my parents house. Don't think I ever played that game tbh. Will be fun to try it on my pentium 1.

Welcome to the olden days before plug and pray. My card card came with gameport disabled by jumper btw, so don't freak out if it does not work. I kind of did. 😁

You can also use unisound driver if you like. It is very easy to setup.
