Yes, these are pressure spots. Very common even on some newer laptops, e.g. ThinkPad X220 and X230 are known to have this issue.

Thanks guys, I highly doubt I will ever need more than 1 CPU and 64 MB of RAM on this machine. SDRAM support would be nice since I have a large number of PC100/PC133 sticks laying around. So I guess i430TX it is.

I have everything I need for at least 3 retro PCs except the cases. I don't buy cases unless I really need them since they take a ton of storage space.

If I could go back to 2001, I would invest $5000 into Apple stock which would be worth about $1.8 million today. Oh, and I would try to find Chaintech 5RSA2. It's a fantastic retro motherboard, I had one and foolishly let it go.

SACD is essentially the same physical media as DVD. The logical layout is completely different though and regular PC drives can't read them.
