I have an ASUS P2-99 motherboard as indicated in my signature, which has the Intel 440ZX chipset and 3.3V AGP slot but without any integrated video chip. Compatible nVidia cards that I used and worked well on it were the TNT2 Pro, GeForce2 GTS, GeForce3 Ti 200 and GeForce4 Ti 4200.

The sound detection routine in Bio Menace is speed-sensitive and tend to fail with faster computers. The game also needs STACKS=9,256 (not STACKSHIGH) to be set in CONFIG.SYS which without it, the computer could be hardlocked just after dealing with the first enemy.

Don't bother with later nVidia drivers, stick with the earlier pre-Release 10 Detonators (such 6.31 as TheMLGladiator said or 8.05) if you play early Windows 9x games with that TNT2 card.

With that information, Throttle Blaster may potentially have the same issues as with the other methods (stuttering and/or slow music playback in some situations) but the granularity it offers could mitigate it.

Throttle Blaster seems interesting. I wonder how well it compares to ACPI and ODCM throttling which aren't a universal solution to slowing down the CPU as some people tout it.
