Not sure if anyone else experienced this but I had some trouble with Doom 2 SFX using SET BLASTER=A220 I7 D1 P330 T4, changing T4 to T2 worked for me. That's surprising, given that T2 means SoundBlaster 1.5 and T4 means SoundBlaster Pro (which is what the CS chip is compatible with), AFAIK. But …

Very nice find! I also have a Spectra upgrade in my Gateway. I swapped out the K6-2 with a K6-3+ and it wasn't too difficult. Just take your time with removing the processor from the interposer and make sure the voltage jumpers are set right.
