As leileilol says, registration is disabled due to the sheer number of spambots. It's nominally temporary until a better solution is implemented, but no idea when that will be.

There were definitely a number of optimisations I originally had planned for v19+. Copy-on-write register allocation, chaining non-contiguous blocks together, instruction reordering, using host MMU on 64-bit hosts. Should have improved things a bit.

I missed late 1995 to mid 1998, mostly due to only having a 486SX at the time, therefore missing out on late DOS, early Windows 95 and most of the "multimedia revolution". Then I somewhat lost interest in late 2001 and only sporadically picked up since.

It'd be interesting to find out how PCem fares on an M1. There is an ARM64 backend for the CPU recompiler (though currently not for the Voodoo code generator), but it's only ever been tested on a Pi3 running Linux, wouldn't be entirely surprised if ARM64 Mac OS threw up issues.

ALU, registers and main data path are most likely the top third of the cpumuseum image. Bottom right might be the MMU and addressing logic? Lower left is most likely a microcode ROM.
