Would an ISO of the AWE64 Value CD be useful? If so, what's the best place to upload it so it can be copied to Vogons Driver Library? I'd leave it with the stock CPU. Seems silly turning an interesting and fairly unique 486 class PC into a more run-of-the-mill system. 😎

Is there a socket to add a 387? There seems to be references in the manual for the PS/1000 type 2168 to adding a coprocessor. Very nice machine. Always wanted a IBM 486SLC/DLC or Blue Lightning after reading about them on Red Hill.

Somehow lost a Rendition Verite V1000 card. Not the most useful, but definitely interesting (and relatively rare). It was a Intergraph Intense 3D 100 from memory.

I've used sewing machine oil in the past with success. If you want to use something thicker, but not quite grease, you could try engine stop smoke or chain oil.

Your CPU will be a Athlon XP 1800+ running at 100x11.5 (when it should be 133x11.5). Interesting to see benchmark results for the UniChrome.

Nice system badmojo. The AT tower case looks great, although I quite like the original style of case too. I'm slowly collecting parts to finish a 386 system based around a Intel DX-33 (and a co-processor to match). Hoping it turns out as good. 😀

It seems strange to encounter so many faulty cards. Have you tried them in a different system? I have a Voodoo 1 card that had the same symptoms you described (pass through okay, crash on properties and 3D games) in one system, but worked reliably in another.
