Correct, Apple II sound is relayed to the PC Speaker. The Trackstar line doesn't contain the Mockingboard hardware. But it's of little matter IMO, as 99% of contemporary Apple II games didn't support Mockingboard anyway. It was not a successful sound card by any means, and has only found true …

ProDOS only displays the last two digits of the year, so I reckon you're correct. I tried these: December 3, 1999: CF,07,0C,03 April 30, 2000: 6C,07,04,1E June 1, 2015: 7B,07,06,01

I noticed that in DOSBox too. My guess is since it can't find the Apple II clock, it's just defaulting to the current DOS clock. As for technical details about the program, I'm afraid I can't provide them. I have no idea how it communicates with the Apple II side of things.
