I have the manual for the 400/500 series and there is no pinout for the DB62 plug.

I used Win2k since the last beta on a dual PPro on a PR440FX Intel board, so you are not stuck with NT4. Also, the PPro overdrives I upgraded that board with are noticeably faster (the older chips went into a different motherboard).

PPros were meant to be NT workstations or servers, why people want to game on them I don't know. Good deals on motherboards ran out a long time ago.

My Gateway2000 P5-66 Socket 4 had a dead Dallas chip and while removing it (a couple times) I damaged some traces on the bottom side of the board. Was hoping somebody could take a picture of the bottom of the board underneath the Dallas RTC so I can fix the traces. Thanks.

I still use my fluke purchased new in the 90's. Other than replacing batteries and probes a few times its very reliable. I did have to clean the LCD contacts once. Honestly, I like the auto ranging not common in cheap units.

Probably just a density issue. If Max RAM is 1GB and there are 4 DIMM slots you need low density 256MB 100Mhz SDRAM DIMMs to max it out (I forget if they need to be double sided).

A full Audigy card (not the budget ones that don't do hardware accelerated EAX). Aureal was the king of audio in W98 era but was dying by the time Win2k came around with half assed drivers and dead when XP was around.

I think I have a HD2600 based AGP card and the cooler was nothing special. The HD2900 XT was a 200W+TDP (6 pin and 8 pin power connector and massive blower) card that was slower than a Geforce 9600 released half a year later with under 100W TDP.

I would use a NVME drive (or if not available a SATA SSD) for main OS and a large spinning disk for downloads, movies, and misc. files.

From what I remember OC'ing an 8350 to 4.5ghz+ didn't show that much increase in benchmarks, the design was tapped out. I purchased my boxed 8350 when Newegg was ditching them years back, so I assume it was a later production unit.
