I have never found the whining painful or annoying. It just makes my brain "feel fresh and stay awake" (especially coming from tv sets) Can't describe it somehow else.

I bought a 16gb/1tb M1 Air earlier this year. No fan. Great UI. Sharp screen. Awesome trackpad. Happy with the performance. Despite the shortcomings of owning an Apple laptop, using it as a daily driver feels pleasant. Don't see myself updating my gaming rig anytime soon - it's just become too much …

It's a crap platform and as much of a bad purchase decision as it was 10 years ago. Any Sandy Bridge/Ivy bridge chip ran full circles around them in about every possible aspect

When I play games on my PS2, sometimes I forget this black box has a measly 297Mhz risc chip, 4mb of vram and an extremely rudimentary graphics chip.

I don't know why people are so obssesed with the whole 60 FPS 4k 234234xFSQAZXYASY antialiasing or nothing. Many games feel, play great and have their early 3d acceleration charm on a 233mmx and a 4mb Voodoo 1 at 640x480, 30 fps.

My least used system is definitely a 64mb K6-2 500 + 8mb Verite 2200 AGP rig running Win95c. It pretty much only sees action whenever I feel like playing a couple of races on the Verité version of Fatal Racing.
