Re: Need help with an ATI MACH32 PCI video card

in Marvin \ Video
Well, I have the driver disks for the Graphics Ultra Pro (Mach32) ISA/VLB version but I just can't imagine how that would be of any help as the original disks v2.03 are already in the vogonsdrivers database. >> http://vogonsdrivers.com/getfile.php?fileid=103 I even found the probably last version - …

Re: Need help with an ATI MACH32 PCI video card

Windows 98SE should have built-in drivers for the MACH32. Did you change the monitor in Windows 98 to something like "SVGA 1024x768"? The MACH32 is not able to detect Plug&Play monitors, so Windows may limit you to 640x480 because of that. Yes I know that Windows 98SE has builtin drivers. And they …

Need help with an ATI MACH32 PCI video card

in Marvin \ Video
Hi Guys, I could need some help setting up an ATI Mach32 PCI with 2 MByte Ram. Purchased that thing off eBay lately. Downloaded several versions of the ATI configuration program (INSTALL.EXE) but had no luck so far. This is the current situation: Installed the MACH32 using a Pentium-III motherboard …

Re: DOSBox 0.74 Mouse and Numlock Problems

in DOSBox Patches
hmmm ... for my first selfmade build I used the sdl.dll supplied with the 0.74 installer. Nevertheless, with my build the numlock worked right off the start. I could not find any information about how to build a full featured DOSBox using Visual Studio 2008, so I started on my own and after having …

DOSBox 0.74 Mouse and Numlock Problems

in DOSBox Patches
I recently upgraded from 0.73 to 0.74 and for some reason there seems to be a problem regarding the initial numlock state. I'm running DOSBox in Windows Vista x86 SP2. My keyboard numlock is always on. When I launch 0.73, the numlock works fine right off the start (ie it is active in DOSBox too). …

Re: Problems with ansi.sys - Help wanted

in DOSBox General
report cursor position.. didn't expect anybody to use ansi for that. Yeah, I can imagine ... well the software we're talking about here is a CAD software from the early Nineties, which at that time was ported from Unix to DOS. I think that explains it all. As I said earlier, I'm not using DOSBox …

Re: Problems with ansi.sys - Help wanted

in DOSBox General
Well if you're compiling from sources then grab 0.73, as 0.72 is some two years old. Hi wd, Ok, I'm running the 0.73 debugging version under Debian Lenny now ... got everything compiled. I already did some debugging and I found out the following facts regarding ansi.sys support in DOSBox: (1) …

Re: Problems with ansi.sys - Help wanted

in DOSBox General
Meanwhile I think the problem is 'not really' just an 'ansi' problem, as nnansi.sys works fine under dosemu but nnansi.com does not do the job in DOSBox... To wd: I'll try to compile a debugger enabled DOSBox-0.72, because that is the version which is supplied with my Debian Linux and I don't want …

Re: Problems with ansi.sys - Help wanted

in DOSBox General
OK, I tried nnansi.com, which did not work too  ... will try to find that devload.exe or device.com and try out an original ms-dos ansi.sys. In the meantime, I ended up with reviving my old NWDOS7 license. Made a harddisk image and installed everything. Everything is working beautiful so far. 2 …

Problems with ansi.sys - Help wanted

in DOSBox General
I've got a problem with the builtin ansi.sys support in DOSBox. I have revived a 15 year old CAD software and started out using dosemu under Linux. Unfortunately dosemu does not support the 1024x768 16-color mode in its Trident 8900 emulation, so I'm stuck at 800x600 under dosemu. So I decided to …
