I just picked up my first ever powervr card. Any idea how one can distinguish between the pcx-1 and pcx-2? I'll try it out later this week hopefully if I have some time. Putting my k6-3+ rig back together atm.

In a perfect world where newer drivers only fix problems and never show any regression in compatability that would be great. Sadly, reality does not line up with this idea, so I suggest we archive drivers by card/chip with newer versions showing top to bottom sorted per OS.

I'd go with a real geforce 2 (pro/ultra). At least those have rudimentary shader support. And of course T&L. Geforce 3 cards would probably a bit overkill for that system 😁
