Congratulations for the release of the new 0.73 version :) On the previous 0.72 version I used h-a-l-9000 Megabuild to get high resolution stings compatible with an old DOS CAD program. The new 0.73 version still isn't compatible with all those resolutions with the same dosbox.conf. I am using the …

I used to have aliases to commands in old DOS, I don't find the way to do it under DOSBOX. I tried an old program called DOSEDIT but it doesn't work under DOSBOX. Can you recommend a free utility that does alias under DOSBOX, or any way to do it? Thanks

keymapper problem and solution

in DOSBox General
I can't find a way to invoke the keymapper in the high resolution compilation h-a-l-9000. No by the hotkeys nor by parameter at startup (-startmapper). One way I got to overcome the problem is by setting a second DOSbox with a previous compilation, that does not include the cool high resolution modes …

in DOSBox General
Sorry, my fault, WHAT works fine under DOSbox. I was thinking it didn't work because the batch didn't do the job an I knew what was the problem with a standard command prompt window. The batch didn't work because it uses other two small programs. One is called "KEY-FAKE" it types initial commands to …

Changing parent environment variables

in DOSBox General
In real DOS machines I had a small program capable to set environment variables. This is a very valuable asset for batch enhancement, it allows to get strings into environment variables, manipulate them, etc. This is not possible under Windows since any program running gets a copy of the environment …

I tried it on 640x480 VGA mode and it works, but badly, since the application was designed to work onMatheus 1280x1024 cards, and 1024x800 on old Trident SVGA cards. Can I specify something better then VGA under the "machine" command on the "dosbox.conf"? …
