Right now they are exclusive so either Gus or sb/adlib or mpu401 But it only takes seconds to flash from one to another while the pc is running

i like to use grub4dos on at least a pentium, it was slow boot on a 486. plop boot loader is another. I like this one cause it can hide or rearrange partitions which is the process? first installing 3.11? then 95, then 98 and when the program? should the software for creating the boot be executed …

Some post codes have leds for the voltage if it’s anything but solid might point to a problem on that voltage rail. The hex codes can tell you where you are in the boot process and give you any idea what system is failing. You do need the book to lookup the codes. Simple test with multimeter put …

If they are reversed they might also get hot, but the right way is with the multimeter. A post code card wouldn’t hurt.

That hole is connected to ground plane anyways so i think you should be fine even with solder connect to the circled part on the board. As long as the via is intact. those small point is to connect the ground plane with the inner ground plane in the circuit board yeah i wasnt sure about that either …

Green rubber dremel tips work well to get to the copper traces. Some might suggest fiberglass pen Nail polish can work as a solder mask to protect the cleaner traces
