Agreed, Sound Blaster/AdLib Card (or compatibles) is the best option to use without having to configure Bassmidi or MUNT. No. Compare SoundBlaster with General MIDI or Roland for GK1 and tell me again that this should be the best choice! When I first tried out the MIDI setting I couldn't believe it …

Thanks for that! 😉 I'm running DOSBox on Mac OS but the "General MIDI" works very nice anyway. I recognized that even the "Roland MT whatsoever" has a great sound, better than the Sound Blaster/AdLib stuff.

Hi! Is it possible to get Sherlock Holmes 2 running under Dosbox? I could install it but it always crashes after 10 seconds at the beginning. I added a screenshot as attachment. Do I need to set up some special configurations for that game? Thanks for help!

The mounted images are all named "volume_id". All six of them got this name according to all 6 cds of Gabriel Knight 2. Is that a problem for dosbox? The iso files itself got different names like GKcd1.iso, GKcd2.iso and so on.

How can I mount the images in dosbox? Shall I then mount all the images before starting the game? Maybe I got the same problems unmounting an image which is still in usage by an application.
