Re: Printing from DosBox (LPT1)

For h-a-l-9000's latest Megabuild 4: http://home.arcor.de/h-a-l-9000 Highly recommended. You'll also need PortTalk V2.2 from Beyond Logic: http://www.beyondlogic.org/porttalk/porttalk.htm If you want to try to print on a network printer, you'll need WinPcap V4.0.2 from CACE Technologies: http://www. …

Re: PADS Perform + DosBox and ANSIPlus

Alt-Pause brings up a Config Window and the Keyboard selection brings up the Mapper. One bug though: after starting the Mapper and Exiting (didn't save anything) and then Closing the Config Window, I can't close DOSBox by clicking on the X in the upper right (standard Windows Close Window). I have …

Re: PADS Perform + DosBox and ANSIPlus

First of all, Thanks to wd for working on the Numeric Keypad problem! I downloaded the CVS from 11/09/2007 which had fixes listed for the LIN4 Palette setting and "forward state of caps/numlock to mapper event system". I can't really test the LIN4 fix until there's a build with Vasyl's SVGA code. …

Re: Cant use dosbox SHIFT KEY wont function

Are you sure it's a Shift Key problem? Or is it just the \ and : keys? If it's the \ and : keys, please read the DOSBox README.txt file, which is basically the User Guide. New users please remember: DOSBox README.txt = DOSBox User Guide Each chapter is short, it doesn't take long to read. At the …

Re: permanent fullscreen mode?

I've suggested this before and I'll take this opportunity to say it again. I think if the name of the README.txt was changed to User Guide, more people would read it. I always think of a README.txt file as a file thrown together with last minute notices and bug reports, not as the main User Guide. …

Re: permanent fullscreen mode?

Every time you press the Alt-Enter sequence, DOSBox toggles between Full Screen and Windowed modes. Is that what you are asking for? Or something more complicated? [Edit] Added: All new users should read the DOSBox README.txt file, which is basically the User Guide. New users should remember: DOSBox …

Re: PADS Perform + DosBox and ANSIPlus

h-a-l-9000 Yes, I set the video to: [vga] svgachipset=pvga1a videoram=512 saved and then started DOSBox. I ran PINSTALL.EXE and configured PADS Perform for the Paradise VGA selection. Then I started PADS Perform. Note that I tried 800x600 first to confirm that DOSBox and PADS were set for the …

Re: PADS Perform + DosBox and ANSIPlus

Yes, I've requested that Vasyl add the fix for the "No palette update for 4bpp SVGA modes / M_LIN4 graphics modes" to his SVGA code so that other builds will have the correct colors at 800x600 and 1024x768 with the et4000 selection instead of the sick green look for some colors. The reason it's …

Re: Dosbox + Windows Vista

I recently had to get PADS Perform DOS v6.0.1 working in a new notebook computer. It is an HP Pavilion dv9429 which has an AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-64, 2GB DDR2, and Windows Vista Home Premium . I have a desktop PC with Win XP SP2 with DOSBox, PADS Perform, and PortTalk already working. Basically all I …

Re: PADS Perform + DosBox and ANSIPlus

vicg There hasn't been any update recently and I was just wondering if the EMS memory problem with PADS-PCB was ever resolved. If so, did you get it working and what did it take? vasyl Did you add the 1024x768 mode 0x05D for the Paradise VGA to your new SVGA code? If so, I thought I might test it …

Re: DOSBox MODE

If you need an excellent ANSI program that runs in DOSBox, try ANSIPLUS from Kristofer Sweger at: http://www.sweger.com/ansiplus It's a really nice program and the full version is now free. I used this to correct a color problem in DOSBox until HAL9000 found the problem in the 4bpp SVGA (M_LIN4 …

Re: Problems with the key mapper

The mod1,2,3 and hold are not explained well in the readme.txt file. How would I get the physical Shift-3 key combination to be the Event key_f3? That is, map the keyboard Shift-3 to be an F3 (no shift) sent to the application?

Re: PADS Perform + DosBox and ANSIPlus

For PADS Perform DOS, copying the C:\PADS directory and subdirectories to another drive causes problems and parts of Perform will refuse to run. For example, I had to put PADS on a system where Win XP is on the G: drive. I tried to copy it over from a system where it was on the C: drive and run it, …

Re: pads and logic2000

Yes, the z:\ worked. I had never had to use it in HAL9000's build so at first I didn't realize I had to put z:\ in the path= statement for other builds. Now for the main subject. I downloaded the DOSBox 0.72 heavy debug version posted by Qbix. I installed it and left everything default except: [log] …

Re: pads and logic2000

In DOSBox v0.72 some internal commands only run from the C:\PADS> prompt if the full pathname is used for the command. This includes mem and loadfix. In HAL9000's build, they work from any prompt without a path. In DOSBox v0.72, when I type loadfix or "loadfix plogic.exe" at the C:\PADS> prompt, I …

Re: pads and logic2000

In my version of PADS Perform DOS v6.0.1, I have a version of the LOGIC program. The executable is called PLOGIC.EXE. I think this is about 2 or 3 versions newer than ovi's. I ran the experiment I described in a previous post, running PLOGIC.EXE at 640x480 in DOSBox v0.72. The host OS is Win XP Pro …
