Just recently I replaced the stock Asus cooler on my GeForce FX 5950 Ultra with a NV4 Rev2 and like you saw over ~20-30c reduction in temps! Same here! Been a fan and avid user of Arctic Cooling GPU/CPU heatsinks for years. Best bang for the buck ratio, even more so if you enjoy silent computing...

If you really want to know if your HDD is healthy or not, try Hard Disk Sentinel. Mind you, it only detects hardware problems, not logical (i.e. file system, etc).

Well, since memory is dirt cheap atm, why not go AM3 right away? A dual core AM3 cpu will be MUCH faster, cheaper and cooler then any s939 dual core cpu.
