I plugged in an old Cherry PS2 keyboard. No problems so far. So it seems to be an issue of the prodikeys (perhaps because you can use it as a midi input device as well?).

Perhaps because it is one of the early Soundblaster 8-bit models? Soundblaster 2.0 (CT1350B) is more common. Nevertheless it is not the first Soundblaster and it seems overpriced to me , too.
